We are going to tell about how an engineer can join the Indian Air Force. Every Year IAF conducts the exam for the deserving candidates to recruit them in the Force. To take part in the recruitment process of Indian Air force what you have to do is that you must have passed engineering or in the last year of engineering.  You can join the IAF in the following three branches With our AFCAT NOTIFICATION 2016.

  1. Flying branch: In the flying branch you will be trained as fighter pilot, Helicopter pilot or a transport pilot as per your selection & ability. You can join it by Indian Air Force academy.
  • Combined Defence Services Examination : Through the exam of CDSE , you can join the flying branch of IAF.
  • Men & Women (Short Service commission): through this you can join the IAF with 14 years & no extension is allowed in it.
  1. Technical Branch: if you are looking for the technical branch then there are two ways of getting a job in it :-
  • Direct Entry Scheme: After your engineering is complete you can go on to the Technical Branch through the Direct Entry Scheme. The branches for which you can join it will be Aeronautical, Mechanical and Electronics & Electrical.
